Emergency Rooms
We had an adventure this week. On Tuesday, I called Daddy around 1, because I knew I was getting a migraine. I could feel that fuzziness coming on, and I knew I would need help. Well, it turned out to be much worse than I thought.
When I tried talking to Daddy, I could hardly speak. I couldn't remember words. Daddy told me I sounded drunk and left right away. By the time he got home, things had gone from bad to worse. I had moments where I couldn't feel my hands or my feet, I couldn't remember what I was supposed to be doing. I tried to stand when Daddy told me he was going to take me to bed, and I said "my bedroom upstairs?" We don't have an upstairs, Baby. I couldn't stand, either. I fell into his arms.
Daddy carried me to our bed and he called Nana, who came over right away. She took care of Johnny and Henry, and Daddy took me to the Emergency Room.
Well, in the Emergency Room, they sent me right through to the fast track, and checked me for all sorts of things. They drew blood, took a urine sample, and did an ultrasound to make sure you were ok. They gave me some fluid (I was dehydrated) and also some special medicine to help with the headache and the nausea that I was feeling.
Turns out, it really was just a migraine. A really bad one, but nothing serious. I know going to the hospital helped Daddy feel better though, because he was so worried about me.
When we left, I was feeling much better. But the headache returned shortly thereafter.
But as for the ultrasound----it looks like you are a boy, little Baby! I am totally in denial, though. I have cried several times about it, to be honest. I wanted a girl SO SO SO bad. I am excited for you to come regardless, but I just thought for sure you were going to be a girl. I have had so many experiences where I felt that there is a girl waiting to come to our family, and I thought this was the time.
Daddy said not to be too sure until we have our 20 week ultrasound in a few weeks, so I am waiting till then.
But until then....I think you're another little man.
Love,
Mommy
